Christians are Blessed to be a Blessing to Others

Christians are called out of the world in the sense that our lives are to honor God by living according to the standards, teachings, and commands of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ which are conveyed to us in the Bible.

Although we are called to be different from the world, we also called to remain in the world to be salt and light to those we live and work among.

Some of the ways we let our lights shine is through service for others. Some of our special projects are listed below with pictures.

---- Providing soup for shut-ins in the community in February.

---- Packing hundreds of shoe boxes full of clothes, toys, and hygiene products for kids all over the world through the Franklin Graham Samaritan Purse ministry.

---- Providing a fantastic fireworks show, food, singing, games for children for our community as we celebrate our country's birthday on a Sunday night prior to or just after July 4th.

Our biggest event of the year is our July 4th celebration. We celebrate it with food, games, singing, and a fantastic fireworks display.

Shoe Box Packing Night is a time of food, fun, fellowship, and impact.  In 2011 we made an impact on 225 children throughout the world.

Every February we make soup and take them to the shut-ins in our community. This year we make 47 quarts of soup.
